This is my final t-shirt design. I have took it from my range plan. I have used both primary and secondary sources for this piece, the picture of Bob Marley I had taken myself of a poster, the other pictures I had collected from the internet. I have looked into the Rastafarian religion for this top, and I discovered that a iconic Bob Marley was apart of this religion and so he should be apart of my final t-shirt. The techniques I have used where the blending and layering technique. I think this would work well for my customer profile and my targeted audience, because they are a big listener to old music from past generations, such as reggae music and that is why I think this top would be beneficial for them to own.
I have decided for this to be my final print for the t shirt. I decided to have a play around with the colours and effects on the picture and this was some of the out comes. For the first one I changed the colour temperature which is why it had lead to it being blue. The second one I had edited the photo effect to feathered and added to the contrast of the photo it became very dark, so I had to lower how much I had raised it. The last one I had done was monochrome, which is just black and white. With these experiments I am still using my first choice of colours and having all browns and blacks instead of one set colour in different shades as I think it does not work as well.
I have used not colour scheme here, I have used the Christian religion to show how they represent the holy spirit as a dove and the clouded sky as heaven. I have also used the face of the late celebrity, Whitney Houston. I used this because in her funeral the priest spoke about her being allowed into heaven, and even though people disagree with this, he said she has finally gone there. I used the eraser and fading tool on this to blend the pieces together. I am happy with this piece and I think it has worked successfully. I used secondary internet pictures on this piece. I think this piece would appeal to my targeted audience because it is bright and vibrant but also isn't too different.
I have arranged this print the best in my opinion. I have used the face of a lion, a Rastafarian bible page, smoke and a picture of Bob Marley. The Rastafarian religion has became a more well known one since Bob Marley and I thought it would be good to have him included in this. The colour scheme for this is harmonious and all fits well together. I have primary and secondary research for this, as I had taken a picture of a Bob Marley poster hich I own and the other pictures I have collected from the internet. I this the blending effect has worked very well with this, and I do believe it is successful. I am happy with this piece, I like how you can see all the pictures and it is not directed towards one picture. I wanted to pay respect to Bob Marley for his talent and I think using part of the Rastafarian bible does so. I think my targeted audience will like this experiment as it is not plain and there is a lot on the picture.
geisha graffiti
For this print I have used a geisha, I have clashed graffiti with a geishas face. There is no real colour scheme for this piece, I think the colours for this clash as a geisha is very plain. I have used secondary sources for this experimentation and I have only used the blending effect as it worked best for this piece. I am happy with this piece, as although it is very colourful, there is not to much going on with it. I like were I have blended the face in with the graffiti, even though it can still be seen. I wish I would have added more to this piece now as there is not enough in it and it is still quite plain, however it would be hard to add anymore to the piece as the graffiti background is hard to work with. I do not think my targeted audience will appeal to them as although there is a lot going on it us not controversial for them to wear.
This is one of my favourite experimentations, as I have used a fire breather coming out of the Bible. I have blended the colour of her body to work well with the colour contrast of the Bible. I have used harmonious colours here, they are very plain. I have only used one source, secondary. The girl in the picture is a woman called Sallie Axl, she is a model and fire breather and I have used a open picture of the Bible, both have been collected from the internet. I have used a effect which has blended my two pictures together. In my opinion the techniques have worked very well with this print. I like the fire element the best on this print, I could have developed into the lighting effect more to brighten it up more. I wanted the picture to contrast between Christianity and how people who are against it believe that it should be burnt, I wanted to show this by having fire coming from the book. I think this will appeal to quirky people aged between 16-19 and this is my targeted audience.
